So you may know that I wrote a couple stories for this series called "Grim Crew Presents: Dead Future".

Well the first two issues have been sent out for review, of which I wrote two of the stories in issue #1. The first review is in and it doesn't look too bad. I am very proud of the work I did on the first story in this book, "Real Monsters". I am even prouder of the work Paul Petyo put into. The man's eye for creating visually compelling work is astounding.

"Real Monsters is a chilling tale by Martin Brandt II illustrated with Paul Petyo's breathtaking photo-manipulation. I had the chance to see some of Petyo's work before, and I am quickly becoming a big fan. He brings a ton of textures to his art, and it is easy for readers to immerse themselves in this decaying world." – Micheal Roberts Project Fanboy

It looks as though Micheal agrees with me on Paul's work. Go take a look at the review: Dead Future #1

Dead Future is now a limited series monthly anthology!

What? Yes that is right, monthly. The original format planned was a graphic novel sized anthology, but as deadlines approached it became clear that more and more stories were going to be lost. Our goal is to bring you a quality read, to entertain you, and to help promote aspiring artists and writers.

The solution came with the groans and pains of any birth; when it slipped free and asked for "brains" we knew we had the answer. So now each month we will bring you a new anthology of undead horrors. Dead Future Volume #1 will be out October 10th. You will be able to pick it up at the Baltimore Comic Con and meet a few of the writers and the cover artist. We may also have advanced copies of future issues as well, so it would be worth it to check out.

Featured Stories:

Real Monsters – Written by: Martin Brandt II, Lettered & Artwork by: Paul Petyo
Major Tom – Written & Lettered by: Martin Brandt II, Artwork: Martinho Abreu
Non Mortuus – Written & Artwork by: Roberto Macedo Alves, Lettered by: Josh Gorfain

Baltimore Comic Con, October 10th-11th in Baltimore Maryland.
